9th Bounty // [Video/Voice/Action]

[Halloween was already coming and everyone was talking about dressing up. It didn't help that pumpkins were randomly thrown at you and there were bed sheet ghosts around. He thought he even heard about some headless rider at night. Halloween wasn't his thing, but he didn't really experience it himself even when he was younger.

He's been outside using the zooming pumpkins as targets for practice. If they didn't move, he would simply use them for more practice. With Sephiroth and Jigen gone, he didn't really have many people to talk to these days. Jigen had only been back for a little while before he left again. As bored as that would make Train, he figured he was better off back home. Well... depending on whatever his situation was. He noticed the Dreamberry and sighed. He lowered Hades and picked up his Dreamberry. He was about to turn it off when he thought of something.]

Everyone probably knows already, but if anyone is looking, Jigen and Sephiroth has left.

[Simple message. He wasn't going to say too much about it. He resisted the urge to say again to Jigen's departure. He turned it off, continuing his training.]

[He already knows that Sephiroth left and he didn't know Jigen very well, but the soldier can still see that Train isn't in the happiest of moods. Snake chooses to comment on something not related to disappearances.]

How's target practice going?

[In which he was glad that he didn't comment on their disappearances. Sephiroth and Train didn't speak as much has he had liked, but he did have a general respect for the man. Jigen, however, had been one of his best friends here. With him gone, there really wasn't a lot of people to talk to here.]

Pretty well, actually. I can't say having pumpkins thrown at us is fun, but they do make good targets.

Pumpkins are fairly tame compared to some of the other things thrown at us in the past. Might as well make good use of it while we can. I'll see if there's a way to involve 'em in our next training session.

That's true. I guess I've just been using them for target practice, but I'm sure they could be used for other things as well. They keep growing in random places, so we might as well use them, right?

Hmm... I think I've got an idea.

Hearing about it now would give you an unfair advantage, wouldn't it? You'll find out soon enough.

I suppose so. Whatever it is, it sounds like it will be entertaining.

Entertaining or not, remember to never let your guard down. It won't be easy.

[identity profile] unluckystray.livejournal.com 2011-10-19 07:23 am (UTC)(link)
Of course not. I don't ever expect anything we do to be easy.

Good. None of you do, and that's how I know I've got a good team.

I'm used to assuming things won't be easy. After all, back home we'd starve for a few days because of bounty. It was either find as much bounty as possible and eat or starve.

That sounds closer to how things work for wild animals out in nature. It shouldn't be the same for humans.

Terrible, isn't it? That's the bad thing about being a Sweeper, but I enjoy my job too much to get something like a desk job. I wouldn't last long with a desk job.

[The soldier nods, understanding completely.]

There's nothing like the thrill of combat once you've experienced it. I wouldn't last long at a desk job either.

I figure I might as well use my skills for something that uses them rather than to let them just rust. Being a Sweeper keeps you busy. When I got here, I felt like I was being lazy.

[identity profile] solidarity.livejournal.com 2011-10-25 04:17 am (UTC)(link)
Heh... Feeling better now that you're being kept busy again?

video

[identity profile] unluckystray.livejournal.com 2011-10-25 06:02 am (UTC)(link)
I am, actually. I'm used to working nearly everyday just to get by. It is nice I don't have to worry so much about that, at the very least.

[That, and he actually likes the people he works under; Like Snake for instance. He respects the man.]

We've got plenty else to worry about here. The more stability we've got otherwise, the better.

video

[identity profile] unluckystray.livejournal.com 2011-10-26 04:17 am (UTC)(link)
That's true. I'm not too worried about getting by here. As long as the people here are safe, right?

What we do here is more interesting than any other job here, probably.

[identity profile] solidarity.livejournal.com 2011-10-28 09:13 am (UTC)(link)
To us, sure. But others have different preferences.

I suppose.
