Warning: There's some spoilers involved and death
Dream Affects: [Optional] Hatred and a strong desire for revenge

You might notice a younger looking Train. He seemed to be fine other than the few scrapes and cuts. There was some blood on his legs and some on his hands, but it wasn't his. No matter how hard he tried to seem perfectly calm, he couldn't hide his main. After all, Zagine just killed his parents. What 10 year old wouldn't have been scared? He was frightened and no matter how much he tried to remain strong, he was unable to hide it.

He was given the choice to either live or die, but he was still young and desired to live. He swore to himself that he would get revenge on Zagine for his parents' deaths. He pushed any fear aside, finding a pistol that was lying around. It was most likely purposely placed, but whatever the reason, he would use it to his advantage. He held onto the gun as his hands shook. He'd never thought about using a gun much less killing anyone before this. He had to get his revenge though. He busted into the room Zagine was busy doing whatever in and attempted to shook him haste-fully.

The gun went flying from his hand since the reactive force of the gun overpowered him. Obviously, he had little to no experience with a gun... and that cost him. Not only did he completely miss Zagine, he quickly pinned Train down by stepping on his head.

"You should learn not to be so hasty. You can't even handle shooting the pistol. How do you expect to get your revenge on me for killing your parents if you can't even do that much?" he asked Train.

Train just scowled as he tried to break free from him, "I'll... definitely kill you..."

As time passed, Zagine continued to make Train endure harsh training with little mercy. Train improved on his aim and got better at getting used to the reactive power of the gun, but there was always room to improve. He tried many other times to kill Zagine, none anywhere near successful. He would frequently be forced to do at least 150 push ups, only using one hand and only his thumb. It was either endure it or getting shot. All his hard work to complete his revenge would have been for nothing.

In the end, he wasn't able to get his revenge. After getting food, he came back to Zagine sitting beside the wall covered in blood. He was too late. He wasn't able to complete his goal. He didn't want anyone else to kill him. The person who would kill Zagine would be Train, but there was no way to do that now. He couldn't die like this!

"Why... You can't die on me! I'm supposed to be the one to kill you!" he yelled at him, dropping the bag of groceries.

"Well, kid, it looks like you're too late. If you want to be the one to kill me, do it now," Zagine started, "If you want to prove anything, live on your own strength. You can't rely on anyone but yourself."

And with that, Zagine was dead. Train didn't like this outcome. He was supposed to be the one to kill Zagine. He wouldn't be the opportunist just because someone beat him to it. What was he going to do now. His reason for living now was pointless. There was nothing left to do. He was determined to live, just as he was before. There was nothing else he could do but to move forward.

--------------

[Train shot up in his bed. The dream wasn't about Saya, Creed, or Chronos, but he still didn't like it one bit. This place loved to pick at his memories and show everyone what he never wanted to let others know about. He glanced over to his Dreamberry as he noticed it was recording. He had a dark look on his face as he irately turned it off, angry that the Dreamberry broad casted his days with Zagine.

OOC: It's almost 2:30 am and I'm tired, so there's bound to be grammar mistakes and I apologize. If I need to change anything, feel free to comment about it. "OTL]

[This one knows about revenge man.]

That's good advice you were given.

... I don't think that it's that great, but he did have a point....

[Yeah, he's irritated that this dream got out, so he might be a little pissy.]

It's not, but you can still count on others to be there for you.

[Although, he's recently learned that so he still tends to do his own thing anyways.]

[Oh don't worry, Cecil's given him speeches akin to this plenty of times, seriously.]

That depends on how trustworthy they are.

If you choose carefully enough, it won't become an issue.

[Allen remembers meeting Train. Even though that particular meeting was not the most peaceful due to the state of things at that time.]

[Regardless he watches the Dream and the more he sees the more he can see vague thin similarities between himself and Train. Though it seems Train's variant was far more merciless.]

I'm sorry. I..didn't mean to watch.

[Yea way to go Allen. Perfect timing to let your conscience get the best of you.]

They always like to makes us swear oaths on their deathbed don't they? Father figures I mean.

[Father figures? He had no idea.]

I wouldn't say that Zagine was much of a 'father figure', but I guess that's just another way to make us suffer.

It's definitely like that at first.

[A solemn pause as he thinks about the days following his murder of Mana.]

Do you still feel like that was his intent even now?

Knowing him, it probably was. I didn't know the guy that well. I didn't care to know him.

Of course. I'm sorry. I might be projecting a little too much on your situation.

[He really does feel sorry about that. Not trying to upset you or anything.]

I assume you've been through something like this as well then?

[Train has answered so far so Allen feels he owes him that much as well. Besides it's not like it really bothers him to talk about it now]

Of sorts. I was an orphan for as long as I remember. They said I lost my memory around the time I was sold to a circus. Things weren't too...pleasant at that time.

But then one day Mana, a traveling clown going from circus to circus, came to our group. A lot of things happened and in the end he adopted me on christmas day.

He taught me many things, about circus peforming and how to act in society.

[There's a hint of a fond smile there.]

But one day he died and I wasn't able to cope with the loss. So when the Millenium Earl came to me offering to resurrect Mana, I jumped at the chance and called him back. I got my wish but not in the way I intended to.

[Train hadn't expected a back story, but he listened nonetheless. He'd always been the type to stay out of other people's businesses and expected others to stay out of his, too. If they were willing to talk about it themselves, then what reason would he have to say no to?]

I see... Your story is happier than mine, but not by much.

[He wasn't even sure what love was anymore, but he could relate to wanting to bring back someone he loved. Even if he didn't know it himself, he probably would have tried to resurrect Saya in a heartbeat. But of course, people who had passed on should stay the way they were to avoid messing with life.]

Just a little~

[There it was again that fake smile. A very little. His years with Cross outweighed any positive timespan after putting Mana to rest for good.]

Mana came back as an AKUMA. A creature made from technology and the occult with the sole purpose of evolving by killing and killing time and time again. I was supposed to be its first and it was supposed to wear my skin to disguise itself in society as it grew to maturity. The AKUMA managed to slash my eye leaving me this scar you see here.

But then the Innocence that was my arm, awakened and it attacked Mana. Despite the protests and stupid childish please it didn't listen and just as it was about to put an end to Mana I saw the soul, the ability my eye gained from the injury being startlingly clear now. I can still hear his final words. "Keep walking. Never look back" That was his moto you could say and he just had to say that to me as I was about to put an end to the abomination I had summoned him into.

[He's following slowly. That was a lot of information to take in.]

Well, we don't have AKUMA back home, but we have Taoists.

[He was hoping Train wouldn't have AKUMA in his world though the term Taoist does draw his attention]

Taoists?

They're people who have gained the power of Tao through spirit water.

[He's not sure if anyone was really born with it, though.]

Tao is an ancient art or whatever that brings out the certain abilities of people. I can't really explain this that well, but there's a girl that can breath fire, a boy who controls the air, and a man who can use his blood as an attack.

It's a weird concept... but it was said that Taoists were all wiped out. OF course, that's not the case.

[You're describing magic though the closest thing to those people would definitely be Innocence users and maybe Fou and Bak who manipulated stone.]

Surely not all of them are evil are they?

[Since you likened them to the killing machines known as AKUMA.]

No, not all of them are evil, but they do need to be watched out for either way. Back home a girl who used to be in a group led by someone I hate quit and instead decided to follow me.

And if it did, it wouldn't have been a change for the better. [Killing someone you harbor such a huge grudge against only makes things worse, according to Snake's personal experience. The day he killed the man who betrayed him was the day that brought about six years of self-sustained misery.]

Revenge is never the answer. I know that now. Besides, it's pointless. I know that it doesn't change anything. My parents are dead either way. Honestly, I don't even remember them anymore anyways.

Hn.

[Snake is almost envious of how nonchalant Train is about it all, but he has to internally question how truthful that statement really was. In his experience, people find it very difficult to get over the death of loved ones, memories or not.]

So this is how you got into the trade?

[He'd been wondering about Train's assassin origins for some time. This seems to be a likely answer.]

[Sure, he still holds a grudge, but nothing he can do about it now, right? Now if it were Saya, that's a whole different situation. It's pretty obvious when it comes to either her or what Creed did.]

You could say that.

[Not that he's proud of joining Chronos, but of course everyone has something they aren't proud of.]

I'm not sure. I don't think it really matters anymore, though. The only thing I really thought about was getting revenge for their deaths. I couldn't even do that.
